Every word is true … and we must continue to get the word out to the public … and the International Olympic Committee. We must prove the popularity of baton. So many sports are added to the Olympics that are derivatives of a sport already in the Olympics. We need to get a NEW sport … BATON, into the Olympics! I love your blog …
Thank you so much for saying the truth about baton twirling and letting more people know about what all goes into the “sport” of baton twirling. This is great! Please keep it up!
This is a wonderful blog that I certainly plan on visiting and responding too often. You have don’t a beautiful job of depicted the sport of baton twirling and noting the reasons for making it an Olympic event. I see no reason why gymanstics or skating would be an Olympic even if baton twirling is not. Do what you need to do to get it done. I’d love to see Jonathan on an Olympic Team.
Love your blog and depiction of twirling and what it is all about. Wish more people could read this and truly understand what we do in the World of Baton Twirling and give the recognition it deserves. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for putting together such an informative blog. It presents baton twirling in a positive light, shows the dedication necessary to excel in the sport and gives substantial reasons it should be included in the Olympics. Great work!
Nicely done. We are all looking forward to the day when we can sit back and enjoy seeing twirling on TV during the Olympics. Let’s keep getting the word out, and attracting more people to our sport.
Once a majorette, always a majorette! I twirled for 9 years and still find myself waiting for halftimes and parades to see the girls. To no avail on TV anymore. People don’t realize the hard work it takes and the long hours of traveling and costumes, not to mention lessons…Keep twirling out there for people to see! Good luck…
