My son, Jonathan Burkin, has been a competitive baton twirler for 13 years which means my family and I have been spectators for as many years. Throughout countless hours of observation at competitions and performances, I have become somewhat educated in the intricacies surrounding this wonderful sport. What a joy to watch!
My daughter has attended two clinics where Jonathan was teaching and has enjoyed every minute. The last camp was at villanova this last summer. He showed the girls how to twirl fire. Allie , my daughter 9 at the time was afraid to try. But by the end of the night she was right out there with the older girls. She still talks about it to this day.
Thanks Jonathan anddenise for having such an amazing son
